We did the Maritime Provinces this past summer. We stayed at the Bras D'or Lakes Campground, rented a car in Baddeck, and took day trips all around to see the sites. Some of the sites on the other side of the Trail from Baddeck took a while to get to, but we had rented the car in Baddeck and I could...

We've stayed at the KOA several times and really liked it. It's easy off and on from I-10. The bus route that takes you downtown runs right by the entrance gate. The staff is very helpful in answering all your questions and friendly in addressing all your concerns. They have bus route schedules at t...

This is interesting "stuff". Have been thinking along these same lines myself and wondering how to get the job done. It is very frustrating when you pull into a campground that advertises WiFi and come to find out it exists only within the confines of the six or so sites around the office ...

FYI

I tried a bleach solution (1/3 bleach - 2/3 water) in a spray bottle. Sprayed it on and worked it in (gently) with a scrub brush, let it sit for a couple of minutes, washed, then throughly rinsed off. Not perfect, but a BIG improvement.

I asked my mechanic about changing over to synthetic oil. I had about 40k miles at the time. He strongly recommended that I not change. He said that if I had switched over at lower miles and continued with synthetic it would have been OK, but in his experience to do so at 40k was asking for leaking ...

Dallas, I used: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=6305081&st=vec009&lp=1&type=product&cp=1&id=1074787382733 to power the Artec 3APro. Now that I re-read my post, I can see it's not as "clear" as I thought it was when I wrote it. May have something to do with...

Bryan: Are you sure your unit is an American made (Humboldt, Iowa) Born Free? Just doesn't seem right that you would contact the factory, that I know, and receive that type of response. http://www.bornfreemotorcoach.com/introduction.cfm That said, if you could list your specific appliances, engine o...

Parts ordered from Ford turned out to be exactly the same as the unit I took out. Believe it or not the darn thing comes in two pieces. I probably could have gotten away with not ordering the new "ring" ( saving $13 & change) and using the old one, but then I'd be worried about it not ...

As the Feb. 17, 2009 digital broadcast deadline fast approaches I've decided to retro-fit my coach prior to putting it to bed for the winter. I know we'll really appreciate it come spring when we'll be wanting to hit the road ASAP. Reading through the thread to jog my memory about what was said back...

A follow-up in case anyone else has this situation. Managed to get the receptacle out of the dashboard. It has tabs on the back that really have to be mashed in (like with slip joints) in order to get it out. I mean you REALLY have to compress these babies..... That's the good news. The bad news is,...

12v aux receptacle

I have a 2000 E-450 6.8L V10 Super Duty. The 12 v aux receptacle in the dashboard has been shaky since I purchase the unit in '05. Sometimes worked, sometimes NO, unless you wiggled it. Very annoying. This past RV trip to the West Coast did it in..... Was running an air compressor to inflate the tir...

Yo John,

We may head up to PA for that weekend (27th-29th). Am in the middle of a kitchen remodel, so depending on how that shakes out in the next week or so will determine if we can get free.

Have you stayed at either one of those campgrounds?

OK, I'm a little confused here....... If all high power transmissions are supposed to be digital after Feb 2009 and translator (whatever they may be) and low power stations will eventually go to digital (right?), why worry about "analog pass thru". After a certain date, I assume, it will b...
