The rear axle rating is not the only limiting design factor on what weight can be safely carried in the rear of your E350 Born Free. It also involves the frame and spring design.

Don't forget to lock it up. Generator to the hitch and the hitch to the frame.

Re: First Long Trip in Born Free Elsa

Welcome! That's a pretty good break-in voyage. You mentioned my favorite drive, Hwy 140. Not too far off of Hwy 140 in the SW corner of Oregon you will find the Alvord Desert. I keep going back. https://www.bornfreervclub.org/bulletin ... hp?id=3356

Re: Microwave Replacement

I ran the new microwave as a convection oven this evening, and after about 20 minutes it died. The circuit breaker is still closed. I will pull it out after it cools & check for power. I think I am going to have a warranty claim soon. The typical BF installation (built into a small cabinet) mak...

Re: Simpson 260-8 Analog Test Meter

Yes, definitely a trip down memory lane. As a newly minted Air Force PMEL technician at Tan Son Nhut Air Base, I fixed and calibrated many of these. I would rate them PSM-6 first, Simpson 260 second and Triplett third. I do have a different perspective for the average RV owner. $260 is a lot to pay ...

It's complicated. ...and not that people don't have good intentions but you'll likely get more opinion than fact from discussion groups. https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/p4303.pdf and https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/contributors/information-on-donated-property-for-donors Many things changed...

Re: Donating an motorhome to charity

WOW! How low can you go? Stealing from HfH. I would think your state may have a tax fraud agency that might be interested. They might be able to stop the sale!. Tell Habitat in case they might have leverage and list the sale yourself on Craigs List with your pictures. Make sure you keep the pictures...

Re: Seeking Guidance: BFT wheel under coach

In checking some on-line sources I did not see a large selection or obvious matches to wheel/axle size or bolt configurations. My local farm stores have a wide range of styles and sizes at reasonable prices and I can take an old one to the store and match it up. I'm due to replace mine for the secon...

Re: Can I run my AC on 110 volt 15 amp at a campground?

Check for low voltage too. CGs are notorious for circuits with too many campers and the ones at the end of long runs can get dragged down pretty low. Don't even try it if it's below 110VAC. It can be really hard on AC compressor motors.

Dallas,
For what is worth, your cabinet looks identical to ours and our microwave is a Panasonic Microwave / Convection Oven (NN-T888S)

You can find various videos on youtube.
Maybe use a leaf blower?
Anyone tried just using the fantastic fan to do this? Is there enough pressure?

Bill I don't know what kind of nut is comming off your doors. Do you have the room to put a locknut on the bolt. These can be purchased from any hardware store. These are the type of nuts used in aircraft. If you have a tow hitch and look at the nuts on the bottom of the arms, you will see they are...

Wow! I'm tempted to erase all my posts here just to help make this rabbit hole less of a maize for the archive. One point, I would not be surprised to find all this power management equipment loading the overall power draw to the tipping point. By itself, the Honda 2000 would probably run the air co...

Re: Refrigerator on propane or using an inverter to provide

Vlamgat, In a way, your inverter and battery bank is already performing a soft start function, albeit, very inefficiently. https://www.microair.net/products/easystart-364-3-ton-single-phase-soft-starter-for-air-conditioners?variant=30176048267 doesn't create power. So, using the soft start device on...
