I'd check torque to insure the plugs were at least as tight as spec'd but I wouldn't move them unless they were under torqued. Check the size of the 12VDC wire powering the unit and make sure that it meets the 2Kw replacement's mfr's gauge specs for the wire length being used. You are doubling the potential power draw and the wire gauge size requirements will increase as well.
