Re: Refrigerator on propane or using an inverter to provide
A couple of things: 1) We really do seem to have hijacked Dallas’s thread. Perhaps all this discussion of vlamgat’s problem should be moved to a separate thread. 2) It would be really helpful if vlamgat could succinctly describe all of his electrical connections. It seems to me that he is somehow us...

Re: BF Weight
Our 2006 24RB tended to run a bit overweight on the back axle (we haven’t had our 2017 Spirit weighed yet). To counteract that we tried to front-load the vehicle. We carried our spare as far forward in the underbed storage as we could. We had removed the overcab mattress as we don’t sleep there and ...

I believe this is what you are looking for: https://www.amazon.com/Maxxair-00-455000-Window-Maxx-Louvered/dp/B0027XGFUW/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_pb_opt?ie=UTF8 Unfortunately, this item appears to have been discontinued. We had them on our 2006 24RB, and they worked well. I don’t know if there are RV salvage ...

Re: More about Cargo Carrying Capacity (CCC)!
The problem on the E450 chassis is not necessarily the CCC, but the weight on the rear axle. We have not yet weighed our 2017 Spirit, but we did get our 2006 24RB 4-corner weighed. Loaded up as we normally run, the total weight was 13,100 pounds. This gave us almost 1,000 pounds more we could ostens...

Re: Shower problem
Does the shower head have an on/off switch? Our 2017 Spirit does. It can act this way if it is in the off position. Another thing to look at is replacing the hose, as it may have a clog. Also, in general, it is best to include your year and model in your post. That way someone with a similar model m...

Re: Tire blow out
Here is some text from a wikipedia entry on TPMS: The Firestone recall in the late 1990s (which was linked to more than 100 deaths from rollovers following tire tread-separation), pushed the United States Congress to legislate the TREAD Act. The Act mandated the use of a suitable TPMS technology in ...

Re: LED Lighting
Assuming your coach has fluorescent light tubes, you can buy replacement LED tubes. You end up bypassing the ballast, but the tubes are plug compatible. We ended up replacing one of ours in our 2006 unit when the ballast failed. The new coaches have the round LED fixtures, but they are controlled by...

Re: Leak fixed, new leak, and misfire
Steve, I don’t know what brand of heated floor Born Free used, but I asked Ed Newman about getting it when we ordered our 2017 Spirit. He told me they stopped offering it, as it caused the flooring “tiles” to warp.

Re: What is this switch for?
I will second Jack’s opinion. That black switch at the upper right is definitely for the light over the bathroom sink. We had the same problem with our 2004 RB. Kim (boy, we sure miss him) got us straightened right out when we called him. He said everybody does that! Just make sure you get the light...

Re: So now, where do you get parts for born free..?
Yup, part H-HS100-SN does look like what we had, so ignore my previous post and use WardPAW’s latest one, instead. Nice find. Those hinges really tended to break. Here is a thread that also mentions how to repair broken hinges: https://www.bornfreervclub.org/bulletin_board/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=21...

Re: So now, where do you get parts for born free..?
bf2coolrig, Is this what you are looking for? Found it on the site WardPAW referenced: http://www.rvlocksandmore.com/InsideRV/Hinges/H-S2420-Z Our 2017 Spirit doesn’t have this hinge design, but it sure looks like what our 2006 24RB had. When we traded in our 2006 we gave all our old hinge replaceme...

Re: Screen Door Slide
Before we traded in our 2006 24RB we had the same problem. Camping World and RV dealers had only the P slides. We ended up taping ours back together. However, I just did a web search and found this on Amazon. This kinda looks like what I remember our slide looking like. Could this be a match? Severa...

Re: roof and side wall construction question
Steven, I can't answer your questions specifically, but perhaps this Google Photos album can help. It has pictures of our 2017 Spirit being built last August and September. Your coach should have been built similarly, so you may be able to glean information from them. https://photos.app.goo.gl/xGgif...
