Re: What powers what?
Steve, your Born Free is probably equipped the same as my 2002 26’ RSB coach. Your refrigerator will run either on propane or 115 vac power selectable on the refrigerator control panel. Of course to run on 115 vac power you must be either plugged into a shoreline power source or have you generator r...

Only if your motorhome is equipped with a 3-mode smart charger can you leave it plugged into shoreline power continuously without the problem of over-charging and damaging your house batteries.

Re: Actual Fuel Capacity?
I have a 2002 26’ RSB Born Free with the same 55 gallon tank. Actually I think the tank holds 62 gallons when filled clear to the top. I know you supposedly are not supposed to do what I am doing but if I continue slowly adding fuel when it first automatically clicks off, I can get another 7 gallons...

I take it that you didn’t think the fuel gauge needle pointing at E was telling you the truth?

Re: 120 V Electrical Problem
If the former owner installed an inverter after market, he could have mounted it in any number of locations. Is your TV powered from that dead outlet? If so, the inverter would allow you to run your TV from coach battery power without the need to be plugged into shoreline power to get 120 vac to run...

Re: 120 V Electrical Problem
First suggestion would be to ask the former owner about it. Second thought is that outlet may be powered from an inverter hidden somewhere that is turned off.

Re: LP Gas Generator not starting
Only 48 hrs on your Onan generator in 23 years is not good. Will it stay running once you get it started ? You may need to go to a Cummins engine shop to have your generator fixed.

Well those Maxx Air window vents allow your two side windows to be open about 6” when raining - won’t allow rain to get inside.

OK proper wording means everything. Are you sure that you did not reinstall your batteries reversed polarity - even momentarily?

Re: No power after installing batteries
Well first you say that you have no power going to anything even when connected to shore line power. Then you say that your generator has now power to crank. Well in order to crank your generator you must be getting dc power from either your reinstalled batteries or from shore line power. If you can...
