Re: HOLDING TANK GAUGE

Digging up this old topic in hopes of getting some input on the See Level II tank gauge system. For those that have installed the system, where did you mount the control panel?

We have a 2004 26RB and I'm trying to figure out a good location for the control panel.

Thanks,

Jeff

Duallyvalve - 1-piece metal bolt-in valve stems for Class C

Duallyvalve - 1-piece metal bolt-in valve stems for Class C Ford, GM & Dodge Duallys Having suffered a valve stem failure on our inside dually on our way to Gillette Wyoming for the FMCA event, I was looking for a more robust solution for valve stems on the duallys. Based on a recommendation fro...

Sturgi-Stay Propane Accessories

I recently installed a Sturgi-Stay propane fitting with two quick disconnects (https://mbsturgis.com/products/quick-disconnect-sturgi-stay-fitting/ ). This is similar in functionality to the Extend-A-Stay product sold at Camping World and other vendors. With two quick disconnects I can have both my ...

Re: no spare tire

As many have done, our spare is stored under the jack knife sofa pushed all the way forward toward the driver seat. I purchased a heavy duty canvas tire bag with handles that makes it easier to manage and allows cleaner storage of the damaged tire. I carry a 20 ton bottle jack and all necessary tool...

Re: Nautilus Retractable Shower Door Install in Born Free 26

Final post of the install. Sorry for all the pics but I wanted to be as complete as possible. In order to get the side post flush with the shower wall I trimmed the seam molding. I filled the gap with white silicone sealant before installing the post. I also used a few small pieces of foam tap on th...

Nautilus Retractable Shower Door Install in Born Free 26RB

We recently upgraded our shower with a Nautilus Retractable Shower Door ( https://www.stoett.com/nautilus/ ). The install was pretty straight forward and there are several videos on YouTube covering installation. I will make another post or two to share a few additional images showing how I addresse...

Re: First Long Trip in Born Free Elsa

Howdy to the Born free gang from Bill Erhardt in Helena, Mt. I did discover several of the cabinet doors need new latches as some of them opened when a good bump was encountered. In particular the sliding cabinet next to the refrigerator (hold small items and slides out) came open a lot. So, I put ...

2019 Leap'n Lions Return to Canadian Maritimes Caravan

We are really looking forward to this trip. It will be the longest in time and mileage since getting our 2004 RB in 2016.

How close are we to having the minimum 11 coaches for this awesome trip?

Thanks,

Jeff

Re: Tire pressure monitor

Yes my booster is installed. I have it mounted on one of the frame extensions at the rear bumper. The booster really works. It can read the sensors on our TOAD when my wife is following when we aren’t hooked up to tow. One downside to ignoring the “boy who cried wolf” No Signal Warning, we had a cat...

Re: Tire pressure monitor

Dallas, Thanks for the info. I also have a Tire Minder TPMS System. The only issue I’ve had with my system is a No Signal warning on the right front tire and only the right front tire. I have tried three different sensors and I still get an intermittent No signal wwrning. Tire Minder tech support at...

Re: Cure for steering wander

Steve, Did you ever have the front end alignment caster checked. If not set to near the high end of the spec range of +5 degrees or more will have a great effect on steering stability. Bill’s suggestion about the alignment is solid. Let me share our somewhat long winded journey. When we got our use...

FMCA Rally - Gillette WY - July 2018

We really enjoyed reading the Recap from the Born Free participation at the FMCA Rally in Perry, Ga. We really wanted to join that group, but we had a conflict with a wedding in the family. We we will be attending our first ever Rally at the FMCA Rally in Gillette WY this summer. Even though the Lea...

Re: Thanks for Welcome

Welcome Bill.

We will be fulfilling some of our bucket list when we travel to your neck of the woods this summer. We’ll be at the Family Motorcoach Association (FMCA) Rally in Gillette WY in July and then off to Montana.

Good luck with all your travels.
