Re: Powered awning problem.

Smokey, We have a 2005 26RSB, so the electrical schematic is mostly likely similar. There is an additional 12V fuse block under the vanity. The awning 15A fuse is on that block. See attached photos. If your fuse is not blown, here are some thoughts: Be sure your house batteries are good and fully ch...

Electrical Cord Weather-Guard

To keep the rain water out of the electrical cord connection, when using an extra cord, I place a piece of FedEx plastic engineering plans shipping sleeve over the cord, twist to close and secure with some double-sided velcro. I also place a sleeve over our Surge Guard unit at the campsite pedestal....

Re: Mud flaps

The attached photos show the flexibility of the polymer mud flap material. The piece shown is the portion that was trimmed from the original flap.

Road debris and tires separating, while traveling at high speeds, may still cause damage.

Re: Mud flaps

The polymer material is a flexible plastic/rubber type of compound. I would say that this mud flap is more flexible than the semi-rigid mud flap installed by the factory. The attached photo shows the replacement flap on our coach. As to creating the mud flap, our mud flaps measure 20 1/4" x 20 ...

Re: Mud flaps

Jess, I purchased Buyers Products ploy mud flaps from Northern Tool. You have to purchase 2- 24in x 24in white mud flaps and cut to size. I have a table saw, so it was pretty easy. To create the slot in the flap, simply trace the existing flap and cut with a jig saw. Keep in mind that each side is d...

Re: Shock absorbers

To hold the upper shock nut, I used a thin wood router wrench and nylon tied to the coil spring. Once the frame is securely sitting on jack stands and the wheels have been choked, I use painted cardboard (much less resistance than regular cardboard) to slide under the coach. A creeper is typically t...

Re: sticking choke 2015 triumph

George, You may want to consider putting in a fuel additive that lessen the chance that your carburetor does not gum up and stick. I am a big fan of Startron. I use it in all of our vehicles, both gas & diesel, as well as small engines. You should notice better starting for both the generator an...

Re: Double pane windows

Dallas,

A couple of RV window vendors in Florida. I realize the vendors are out of your market, but could give you an idea of cost and the repair process.

Inexpensive Leak Test

I created a simple and inexpensive leak test method with a blower fan and foam board. Cut a piece of 1" foam board to fit a side hatch. Cut a hole in the board to match the outside of the blower fan. Create a duct with duct wrap and secure to the foam board with duct tape. Insert the board into...

Re: A/C locked up

Blake, You might want to use a fuel additive to keep your carb from gumming up. I use Startron in all of our gas and diesel engines. http://www.startron.com The product can be purchased at auto parts stores, Walmart, Amazon and West Marine. WM has bigger quantities and will have the pint size on sal...

Re: Restring Shades

Curt, I have re-strung a couple of our shades. I found the instructions on a web site, but the instructions are also posted on this website, as noted by the administrator. I used 50# monofilament fishing line instead of shade cord. This suggestion was noted during my Internet search. The repaired sh...

Re: Newbie

Norm,

Since you are a seasoned RVer, you know the importance of watching tire age and condition. Manufacturers recommend replacement of tires if older than 5 years from the manufacture date. To me, this is one of the most important inspection areas.

Enjoy the BF coach.

Re: Outside Shower Faucet not working.

Bill, I have the same model year of coach and I checked my owner's manual. Unfortunately, this is no information in the manual for that faucet controller. A suggestion: If you remove the kitchen drawers, you can see the rear of the city water connection and this faucet controller. Maybe you can retr...

Re: Awing Replacement Question

Kevin, The referenced bracket is the one I installed. The foot piece at the bottum, 'other items purchased' with the bracket is also what I used. I cut a piece of starboard plastic for the middle of the bracket. I tried to attach a photo, but the photo pixels are too many for this forum. Send me a p...

Re: Awing Replacement Question

Kevin, I checked our awning for part numbers and the only sticker remaining is the front inner adjustable arm. Dt: 4362 Sn: 2076387177 Pn: WK0501-DG The back rafter and Idler cover did not have any part stickers. I have replaced the foot on each arm and the front bracket mounted on the coach. Both p...
