Re: Generator and Battery Box sag

About 60,000 miles ago I had the same problem. My fix was to place a 1/2” steel plate under the floor carpet and then bolting through this to raise the generator back up tightly to the coach, my plate is about 14”x 20” and has worked perfectly for the last 10 years . This spreads the load over a wid...

Re: Upgrading a 2001 RSB

Some of the best $ spent , tire momtor, ac protection and monitoring, scan gage for engine monitor . All added peace of mind and well worth the investment. 6 volt Trojan coach battery’s now 8 Year’s old and still going strong. Recommend a good dc volt gauge to monitor these also. New shock worth it ...

Re: Upgrading a 2001 RSB

My thinking on keeping my coach is the same as you. I also have a 2001 rsb, 100,000 miles. I believe that at my age the up keep and maintaining will be cheaper than buying a new coach. And we both really like our coach and have kept it in great shape. I am planning to replace my water/radiator hoses...

Re: Exterior cleaning

I just last year started using a product called Rejects, I really like it for cleaning and protecting the fiberglass in one application. I use it now on my car and trucks as well. So far I highly recommend it.

Re: Battery bay (storage compartment) repair

Well it looks like a lot of have had this problem, I used a similar fix to mine and it has worked well so far. Some of the fixes shown should be stronger than new. Check your generator compartment, I had to reinforce it in a like fashion about 10 years ago and it has held perfectly.

Engine braking

We took a trip in our 2001 a couple years ago across the Blueridge parkway and used the transmission for braking often.. I had always done this with Out any problem,BUT the next day on I-81 we were broke down with transmission trouble. Turned out we had a broken overdrive gear on the end shaft. No w...

Rare ?

I would say fairly rare. I know where one is in about the same shape as your 's appears in the pictures. When I first found this one I looked into it as you are and found out they are not as rare as I first expected. It takes a real labor of love to restore one and they never were very practical. Ho...

Hit by lighting

I'm looking for help after my barn where I park my 26rsb got hit by lighting recently. The hit through all the brakers in the barn box and kicked the 100 amp sub panel back at the house. Most of the damage seems to be limited to about a dozen light bulbs that blew. BUT at the rv everything seems ok ...
