Dallas, we have a dinette in the place of the chairs, but I have also seen units with the incline bed in that exact location. So, yes it works. As a matter of fact, one of the furniture options shown on the Born Free web site for the 24 RB is two incline beds.

Actually, the incline bed takes up a lot less space than the sofa bed, only about 30". The main problem I see, if Rob wanted to make this a do-it-yourself project, is that the incline bed needs a wooden platform for mounting. You would need to get something to match the current interior. On the...

It should be no problem, if done at the factory. When we bought our 2006 24RB, it was a leftover with a sofa bed, 2 barrel chairs and the table between the chairs. We had the factory swap that out for a dinette (in place of the chairs) and the electric incline bed (in place of the sofa bed). You can...

Well, without sitting in your coach while the generator runs, it IS hard to tell. I do know that there is a fairly significant vibration felt in my 24RB when the generator is running. Of course, I am generally sitting in the dinette right over the generator while I am exercising it, so I am not surp...

Mike, Well, actually the problem is not that the heater won't fit under the sofa, it is more that the inside door openings are a bit too small to squeeze the thing through, at least for our unit. If you are willing to access it from the outside door, it will fit. We just found that to be a little to...

Mike, The digital Vornado you ordered looks very similar to the one we got a few years back. The digital temperature set feature is indeed very nice. We had been using the non-digital one in our previous motorhome, and had a lot of difficulty finding the correct set point. With the new one there is ...

Jim, I can't help you with a specific SAE, as my coach has a Generac generator. However, my previous RV had an Onan, and I always found that the Onan dealers were very helpful when I had problems or questions. I Googled for Onan, and your closest dealer is: CUMMINS BRIDGEWAY, LLC 7580 Expressway Dri...

One word of warning on "propane". What goes in the tank is not actually propane, but something called liquid petroleum gas (LP gas). It can be a mixture of propane and butane, and where it is sold can determine the exact mix. The problem is that butane will not change to a gas in cold weat...

As for the gas mileage, no way is a 24' rear bath going to get 22 mpg. Your 15 mpg is actually quite good. My 2006 24' rear bath gets between 9 mpg and 11 mpg, depending on how loaded I have it, where it is being driven (flat vs. mountainous areas) and how fast I drive.

If the unit has a generator, check the number of hours on the generator. To be kept in optimum condition, it should be exercised for 2 hours a month. So, if you don't see a lot of hours on it, make sure it starts. Well, make sure it starts, anyway, regardless of hours! The problem with unexercised g...

It might have been residual air pockets in those lines. As I remember you had to have your tank bled before shipping the motorhome. If you did get some air pockets, your initial attempts at lighting the water heater and furnace probably purged them. So, your next attempt was successful. Use the wate...

Dallas, Concerning your question on cost of various floor plans in 24RB and 27RB, I believe that you can get whichever you want at the same price. Our 2006 24RB was a leftover with the standard 2 chairs and pull-out sofa, all in ultraleather. We wanted a dinette and an incline bed in ultrasuede. The...

Rob, If you intend to use your coach monthly (and I assume you mean you will run it over the road for more than 30 minutes), then your batteries will be charged from the coach alternator. That should top up their charge just fine. I believe this happens whether or not you have the battery master swi...

Linda and Ed Eckert, I have just come back from a short stay at Croton Point Park in Croton-On-Hudson, NY, Westchester County. The park is rather nice. It has good paved interior roads. The sites are mainly grassy with some trees and some shade. The sites are spaced about 35'-40' apart, so you get d...
