Re: Front overhead window leak points

I can understand how you feel about the light from that window. My wife and I did not sleep up there and generally used it for storage more than anything else so the light was really never something we thought about. We actually always kept the window covered. The Florida sun would really heat up th...

Re: Front overhead window leak points

You should do a search for this topic on the forum. I had the window on my 2002 coach repaired professionally by a local RV place. He tried several times and failed each time. I finally took it to the factory where they took the window out and replaced it with a fiberglass panel. You no longer have ...

Re: 2002 Door Lock

I would suggest that you get a key for the deadbolt ASAP. My RV Mechanic advised me that the lower non-deadbolt key was almost a universal key and that a lot of folks will have a key that will operate that lock. He suggested to me that I always lock the deadbolt when leaving the coach.

Re: Insurance

Just got dumped yesterday by Nationwide, which we purchased through FMCA. They stated that the agent handling the policy no longer was affiliated with them. I am presently getting quotes from several different companies. I did check with Nationwide about renewing the covereage directly with them. Th...

Re: Window glass replacement source?

In addition to going directly to Hehr to purchase a new window you can also check out companies that will fix a fogged window rather than replace it. Here in Florida there is a company called Suncoast Designers Inc. who do that. I have several friends who have used them and have been very pleased wi...

Re: Age Discrimination

You have to add RV class discrimination to age discrimination. A few years ago at an FMCA SEA event I won the grand prize. It was for 4 free nights at the Bella Terra of Gulf Shores RV Resort in AL. Very fancy class A only resort. I met the age limit, but of course I wasn't classy enough. Believe it...

Re: LED Lighting

I do not know where they got the round led lights but the wood piece that the lights are in was fabricated in the Born Free wood shop. I do like the LED lights and did put some in my former 2002 coach. They use less electricity and are extremely long lasting.

Re: SMI braking system

Hi guys I am using a 1st generation RVI brake which is similar to the Brake buddy but much smaller. Very easy to put in and take out compared to a cumbersome brake buddy and cheaply and easily transferable to a new vehicle. This is the 3rd car I am using it on. The new improved 3rd generation has ad...

Happy New Year

Happy New Year everyone. Don't forget to register with FMCA for the Southern Charm International Convention in Perry GA. You have until January 18th to get the early bird fee. After that the price goes up $30. Don't forget to let me know so that you can join in the fun with a record number of Leap'n...

39 days is not too long for us, as long as we are not moving every day.

Re: Where to Buy Parts for a 1995 President

Do not know if this company has the specific part you need but for an online RV parts source they have a pretty comprehensive catalog. I've used them successfully. Here is the URL for their home page.

Re: BF 2016 Coach Entry Door Lock troubleshooting

I am surprised that you are not getting a return call from Challenger Door. I had a problem on my door with the keypad and they were very responsive. They sent me a replacement keypad with instructions on how to replace but I had a problem with that so when I was passing through Indiana on my way to...

Re: BF exterior fiberglass is wavy?

The only thing holding the fiberglass skin to the structure are the screws around the perimeter and the various openings in the side. As a result the skin can sometimes appear a bit wavy. Do not have to worry about delamination and the fiberglass is quite thick.

Re: How is BF 26'RB floor plan diff. from 24' RB ?

As Roger mentioned the factory did a lot of customization for customers. However the 26' RB standard model came with either a mid coach entry or a rear coach entry. If you compare the 26' RB rear entry model with a 24' RB model (24 ' only came with a rear entry as I recall) you will find the basic d...
