I have you all beat. I am well over 300 lbs and am well over 6 foot too. I can fit just barely in the drivers set and I sleep on the couch and slept on the electric one in the 22 footer. Love the 24 footer since the bathroom is much bigger. I could not really use the one in the 22 foot BFT and it is...

That is what I was going to say. The loss of the gas genset mean s a diesel for those who boondock alot is out unil they figure out a way to put in a diesel genset. The propane one is not as efficent and it can sometimes be difficult to find if you are out in a snow storm or something. I can always ...

Just a side note, the WImax inititive has been pushed by sprint nextel and is because they do nto have a great data network. It is being supported by intel too. Now the bad news... the president ceo of sprint recently was forced to resign over costs and one of the biggies is the wimax inititive. I r...

Good questions, Kent. In a new chassis, the diesel option has, in the past, been about $5k additional. While they don't require "tuneups" per se (like the gas engines do), they take 18 quarts of oil at an oil change, so there's really no maintenance cost difference. Diesel is currently mo...

I thought so too sam. But we liked the BFT so much we decided to get teh 24 footer adn will still look to town that behind the Foretravel. It is a bit longer and heavier but for some trips it will not make any difference. BUt then again we are thinking we will ust take the Bornfree by itself.

We used to live in a community that did not let us park it in the driveway. So we put it in storage in Marshall VA. There is a great repair guy there too called premire RV and truck repair. I do not know if they have any spots open but when we moved I moved to another community that did not want you...

Flex steel recliner chairs in the 24 foot

I have a question. Does anyone know how to take off the arms on the Flexsteel recliner chairs in the 2007 24 footer. We would have more room to swivel around with out them.

Thanks,
John

First weekend trip in our new 24 foot BF

Well, we have it under our belts and it was just fine. I was amazed at how easy it was to live in the 24 foot vs the 22 BFT. I liked the BFT but the table set up and the overhead bunk and larger bath make the 24 footer just great. I also was amazed at how long the tanks lasted too before having to d...

Re: cold storage

For those of us "newbies" that have to store our BF during very cold winter months, what is suggested with regards to the generators? LeAnn North Dakota If it is not so cold as to make starting it too hard you can run it and turn on your heat strip in the ac to put a load on the unit. If ...

Well, let me add my two cents in here. I had a Built for two for a year. It was a great motorhome. Infact we liked the construction fit and finish of the Born Free so much we traded it in on a new 24 foot to camp in. Why you ask would we trade in a year. We bought the BFT for a super SUV to drive in...

If you want in motion sat reception get the TracStar 360 or the KVH r6 or is it a6; I can not remember the number. THey are great units. I have a tracstar now and had a KVH on my other coach and loved them. No need for park cable and you can use it to get weather reports and maps to make decisions o...

Well it is here and it is amazing. I love the paint and the inside space vs our 06 BFT. We had an inverter charger and a back up camera/radio/DVD/CD/xm receiver. It is wonderful and I can use it for a camera or radio or dvd player or cd player or hook it up to XM sat. and it even has an IPOD connect...
