I grew up in Bergen County NJ about 15 minutes from the George Washington Bridge. I have a brother who still lives in the area so I'll stay with him when visiting NYC. I have heard of Liberty Harbor.....that is the old airplane strip right? I think that one was truly a case of Location Location Loc...

Re: Newburgh NY KOA

We've stayed there once. It's probably not the new one you've heard about, but it was quite reasonable -- especially compared to motel costs in the NYC area. Also, the only other commercial campground near enough to NYC is Liberty Harbor, and that's only flat cement pads for almost twice the price. ...

Simple installation, significant improvement in UHF signals. (Since most stations are now broadcasting in the UHF band -- regardless of what their visible channel number is -- that means an improvement to most stations.) However, it is more precise in aiming at the station. If it still doesn't bring...

So, when can those of us who couldn't make it to the Rally get to see this list of changes? It isn't on the BF web site yet.

If BF doesn't decide to do a mailing to existing owners, would someone please post the list here?

Thanks!

In most cases, private campgrounds are required to use commercial trash haulers for their dumpsters. Unless the local landfill requires those commercial haulers to utilize recycling in order to preserve their dwindling space (by increasing dump fees per load & other penalties), the haulers have ...

A convection oven uses a fan to circulate the air to speed cooking. Therefore, the rule of thumb is take the stated recipe and take off either 25 degrees temperature or 25% of the cooking time. If the recipe has special directions for a dark baking pan, follow those instructions. Good luck, and save...

The T series(transit) is that small little box van from offshore that is now being used by many companies for intercity deliveries...very econominical and well built. Payload including driver is less than 2,000lbs. Don't confuse the Transit Connect with other Transit models. The Transit Connect is ...

Re: License Plate Fees in Michigan

When we brought our 2002 Born Free back into Michigan to register it for the first time this past August, I was shocked that the DMV based our fee on its original MSRP, not on the price we paid or its current value (Blue Book or other source). Has anyone else experienced the same thing? Yes, that's...

Re: model #'s of in-dash & coach stereo systems in late

Just curious if anyone knows the model numbers of the stereo systems that come in newer BF coaches? We ordered a BF with the upgraded touchscreen dash stereo (w/ Sirrus, backup camera, no navigation). I assume this is a Jensen product. I was wanting to look up the unit on the Internet and see what ...

I sent you the new password via your listed email address in our membership records. Actually, the newsletters were mailed via First Class Mail, not 3rd Class so you should be receiving your club newsletter shortly.
Thanks, you (and others) were very thorough in getting it to me.

Re: PASSWORD CHANGE!

The password to access the 8 website pages available to club members only has been changed. Please review your recently mailed club newsletter to find the new password on page #6. Unfortunately, that doesn't help me, because I'm currently on the road and won't be getting my third class mail until I...

Bill: Thanks for the response and the link. Ours is a brand new unit (2010 custom mobility-equipped on 2009 chassis), and it has both the Winegard combination wall plate and a separate 12V DC socket plate probably made by Braund. Our antenna is a Winegard motorized Sensar IV with a Wingman add-on Ya...

12V DC Socket failures for TV

We've had two of the plastic 12V DC wall plate sockets fail in the last 2 months. In both cases, the center connector appears to have melted and come loose from the plate. Anyone else having this problem? I don't think we're encountering excessive vibration on the 12V DC plug for the TV. I'm looking...
