There is a sail switch in there that I have had to replace twice. The sail switch allows combustion. The fan will come on and run for a minute or two and then if there is no combustion it will shut off. To do hardly any work on it, it must be removed. Mine is fairly easy to remove.

I did an experiment like Oliver suggested a couple years ago. I have an enclosed, fully insulated, cargo trailer, 6’ wide x 12 feet long x 6.5’ high inside, in which I have built fold down bunk beds on one side wall. Anne calls it my “man cave”. I pull this trailer behind the BFT to carry my ATV and...

OOPS!! I want to correct my error. A 20% slope is about an 11.3 degree angle. I spoke too soon. Sorry!

Do you really mean 20% incline (grade)? A 20% grade is equivalent to a 36.4 degree angle slope.

I need to add; you do need access to the back to install them. The flange on them is to prevent from pulling through when a load is applied.

Yes. Have used them many times when designing products for aerospace and transportation and also in my own workshop. Be sure to follow the instructions as to hole size and panel thickness etc..

Concrete would probably be the best permanent solution except cities and other government agencies frown and get pretty upset at changing the drainage etc. of "their" curbs and gutters. I know this from first hand experience.

I agree with the above post. Those drag wheels are placed pretty much at the optimum position. They are there to protect the rear bumper and the tanks which are below the level of the bumper. Moving them forward would probably lessen their function. If it is primarily at your driveway where you are ...

Depending on the size and shape of the gutter, maybe just laying some boards parallel to the curb would fill it in enough to make it less of a dip.

You are absolutely right. Does it adversely affect drivability and does this affect safety?

Hello Ralph,
I stand by what I wrote, however, we are talking about different parts for adjusting the front wheel caster and camber. Also, the reason I wrote it was because a lot of these blogs seem to give the impression that Ford has no means of adjusting the caster and camber of their Twin “Iâ€

It should be pointed out that the adjustable caster/camber bushings mentioned above are not unique to the aftermarket industry. Using adjustable bushings is Ford’s standard procedure for setting the caster/camber. It is true that the initial bushings installed at the factory are nonadjustable. Thi...

Thank you all for the positive comments about the new spare tire carrier. I feel good about the design and believe it will provide good service for a long time. Regarding a spare tire carrier for the newer Born Free models, I guess that if I had one of those, I would probably design a carrier that w...

Dallas, … thank you for posting these views of the spare tire carrier. I am just finishing building the first batch and to those others who ordered one; I expect to get them shipped by the middle of this week. I am already starting the next batch and if anyone else wants one, please contact me. Th...
