Re: Connecting TV cable to outside shower connection

We use a right angle RF coaxial quick connection on each end of the cable. Straight quick connections are also available. You can purchase the connections at the hardware store. This link shows a sample connection. Use of the quick connection does not impact the picture quality. http://www.amazon.co...

Re: Traveling with A Weber Grill

On our coach, the combustible liquids storage compartment is the fiberglass box on the passenger side, between the passenger door and the entrance door. The box hangs under the coach floor, so fumes and/or fire are less likely to get into the living area, if an incident were to occur.

Re: Traveling with A Weber Grill

We use a Magma Stainless Steel 15" Grill. The grill was originally purchased to use on our boat. We purchased a shore stand for the grill that easily turns onto the bottom of the grill. The grills are a little more pricey than a Weber, but we had ours for 15+ years. The grill easily fits into t...

Re: Tire Balancing Beads

Chuck,
Thanks for the detailed response and other links. Sounds like the beads are the way to go, especially since the beads will balance the whole wheel assembly (rim, tire, wheel cover and valve stem extender).

Tire Balancing Beads

Has anyone has installed tire balancing beads? Is your ride improved? Did you have better tire wear and extended tire life?

This link is a Good Sam RV Tech discussion forum about the topic.

Re: Input for coach absent of Spare tire

Randy, We traveled from FL to Alaska in 2013. Our coach was purchased in 2011 and did not have a spare tire. I found a rim on the Internet. The coach needed new tires, so we purchased 7 new Michelins, which were later recalled and replaced in December 2013. We did not want to be helpless on the road...

Re: water intake leaking

I suggest that you use a 45 degree brass elbow connection. The elbow is easier to connect first and and then connect the hose to the elbow. We have the same coach model. When purchased in 2011, the city water connection had a leak on the inside of the coach. The former owner replaced the connection....

Ford Diesel 6.0L Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit

A reputable Certified Ford mechanic recommended that we install a Ford Fuel Pressure Regulator Kit (part no. 3C3Z-(9T517-AG) in our 2005 6.0L Diesel. The kit is basically a larger spring, o-rings and a new housing. The spring increases the fuel pressure by up to 10 psi. The increased pressure improv...

Re: Water leaks to inside the Coach

Dennis,

Our water concentration was initially detected under the cabover window, but then followed the moisture down the roll bar area and curved front wall to the carpet. Since the coach floor is laminated marine plywood, the water can travel everywhere.

Re: Water leaks to inside the Coach

Dennis, We have a 2005 26 RSB. Our coach had a similar leak problem. After replacing screws with silicone in the hole, caulking around the cabover(cone) window and replacing the vinyl insert, the leak returned. We visited the factory last October and meet with Bill, the service technician. The probl...

The fill time for the fresh water tank is 5-8 minutes, a little more time if the water heater tank needs to be filled up. The filter is disposable, but lasts about a year if used regularly. Hydro-Life has various models. The larger models have replaceable filters, but we opted for the smaller versio...

The anode I replaced was in the water heater. The fresh water tank does not have an anode. I am of the opinion that the water filter reduced sediment and other matter build up in the water heater tank and on the water heater anode.

We use the Hydro-Life HL-180 In-Line water filter, a bacteria fighter. The filter is placed just before the connection on the coach. When filling the fresh water tank, I also use the filter. We utilize a Coil'n Wrap fresh water fill adapter and connect the filter to it. The adapter has a ball valve ...

We had a similar leak on our 2005 26 RSB. After a visit to the factory last October, Bill, the service technician, advised of the following. The design of the nose cone has the side of the cone going behind the side wall above the window. (The design has been changed to eliminate the horizontal seam...

I read the comment about the generator not starting. Glad to hear it is running again. Assuming your BF is a gas model, I recommend that you use StarTron fuel additive. This is an enzymatic additive that removes fuel varnish and gum in the fuel tank, gas lines, carburetor and fuel system. It also pr...
