I've used these Cable Clams made by Blue Sea Systems for waterproof thru-deck fittings. The Buna-N (Nitrile) rubber gasket material seems to stand up to the elements better than most anything else I've used. Even though there is a bottom gasket which should preclude the use of extra sealant for the ...

John, I had been experiencing the same problem; I, too, have Verizon DSL albeit with the reduced speed. I attributed the slowness to that. However, today I upgraded my Mozilla FireFox which I had ceased using some time back, and gave it another try. Voila, speediness returns! Now I may keep using Fi...

My wife and I replaced the Delta rabbit ears with the better performing Batwing using the existing hole in the roof. Info supplied by Bill Hemme and others made the upgrade painless, quick and easy. The existing hole for the Delta antenna can easily be enlarged by chucking up a hole saw that fits in...

Ralph, Shortly after purchasing our '04 ('03 chassis) 26RB we had a failure of the BF standard issue valve stem, an inside dually. Last month I replaced our '03 tires and had a Tireman ( http://www.ridgecrest.ca.us/~tire-man/products.html ) steel valve stem kit installed in the six wheels. At the sa...

Here is a website that may be interesting to those who wish to understand battery dscharge rates. There is a link to a Peukert calculator written in MS Excel (you can either download it or run it online). Playing around with the numbers, some may find it informative or just fun to learn how a partic...

Tire Information

I have read what information I could find on the BB using "Search" concerning buying new tires for the Born Free. I agree with the concept that tires are not a place where one would want to try and save money by buying less quality. I know that Michelin makes good tires. I also know that, ...

If the link posted above doesn't load, Google "Lake County FL Storm Damage" and click on "Map:Where Storm Damage Occurred...". That should load the Google maps with the pointers to damaged areas.

Looks like the Beresford Lady is the boat that was sunk in the recent Fl storms. Go to http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/lake/orl-damagemap020207,0,1285491.htmlstory zoom a couple of lines and click on the pointer nearest West DeLand. That was the boat we were supposed to cruise on. Very sad...

I just spent the better part of two days correcting an electrical problem that some of you may be experiencing also. Part of the solution to getting the wife to go outside on a frosty day to operate the external shower valve might rest in learning how to coordinate the need for using hot water with the occurrence of a wife’s hot flash. My experience has shown that a woman who is in the throes of a “flashâ€

Hi Ed, Would you believe I just came in from having a windshield replaced by Safelite. I don't know if Safelite does custom work or not but I just checked www.safelite.com and saw they have several locations in Knoxville, TN. They have a lifetime warranty on their work and my impression of the compa...
