We have a wonderful rack for our tandem which mounts on the hitch. The company went out of business but the concept of the rack is worth considering if you really want to secure the bikes. The front wheel comes off (and goes under the sofa) and the back wheel is secured by large screw things that go...

I forgot one more thing - be sure that there is a relatively convenient place to dump your tanks in the winter. For us, it is a state park 45 minutes from home with the water shut off. But, Ray, I like your method and will try it this winter. I love winter camping if you ignore a running fresh water...

We had tank heaters installed on our 2004 26' RSB when we bought it new and we have used them with no problems. However, we have found other problems camping in very cold weather that have caused us to not do it the last few years (such as, my husband says he is a wimp and the problem aren't worth i...

Thank you, Ruby2, as I once again have tried every conceivable connection with the converter box and nothing works. We too have an updated Directv box with only one input, which seems to be the problem. Not to open a new can of worms, but we are reluctant to get a new tv because of the way our curre...

Thanks for everyones patience and help with this, I, as a devout sports fan, really appreciate it. I also detest puzzles that I cannot solve. I will email Bill with the specs for our system, but here is some additional info that may help someone else. We have a cable connection that Bill illustrated...

Wow, that is incredible! Thank you so much for all of the work. It makes sense. Two issues with my system - I don't have a cable/tv switch, only a booster button for the antenna. Next, since the tv is in it o/c space, I can't use the av attachments, but you have inspired me to tinker again.

Solved the awning problem - in the 2004 RSB the fuse box is under the vanity sink. The tv is a different issue. It appears that a digital box cannot be connected with the entertainment center tv and a satellite box configuration. After talking to Radio shack and BF, I have tried all hookups and noth...

Bill, I wish we could be here for the festival of lights. They are putting up the lights now and have some of them now off and on and it will be fantastic! Coming from the impoverished northern part of the country, we don't comprehend how a county can support anything as wonderful as James Island Co...

Thanks, everyone, I knew I would find help! I have scanned for channels on antenna with no results. This is not a digital tv, unfortunately, I think. As to the awning, where are the batteries? Ours is stuck in the in position, thank goodness.

Forgot to add that I have turned on the antenna amplifier and the green light is on, only we get snow when everyone else in the campground has antenna reception. We are at James Island County Park, same thing happened in NC. Husband says I should just read more!!

Hi, Bill, I was hoping you were reading! There is nothing in the manual or on the TV that will let you switch from analog to digital. The settings permit switching from cable to antenna only, with fine tuning, which doesn't mention analog or digital. The instructions are very sketchy. The tv works f...

On the road with dead awning and tv antenna

Hope this very bright group can save us some repair money! Our electric Colorado Carefree awning switch is dead. This happened last spring and we had it fixed - it was a fuse that even Camping World had trouble finding. This is a 2004 26' RSB. Any idea where the fuse is? It is not in the fuse box. S...

I have ordered MS Trips and Streets - it sounds like what we need. It is backordered. Thanks for all of the advice. I also use rvparkreviews.com and find it pretty reliable. Hopefully this only posts once.

I am very carefully not hitting submit twice and this is the second time this has happened so I don't know what is going wrong. It is a new HP laptop. The message comes up immediately as having been submitted, but only once.
