Awning accident...

Well, I backed into a post in my yard ( I know) and broke the bottom rear awning bracket off, the left arm is swinging. I think I can get the broken screw out & redo it & caulk it. Has anybody ever done that type of repair on their motorhome? Thanks

Swing Out Table

I finished cleaning & arranging everything in our 99 RSB. We have the spare behind the passenger seat next to the flexsteel chair since it won't fit anywhere else (I think I'll buy one of the hitch type baskets and tie it in). The swing out table has no table on it, the woman we bought it from d...

Replacing Windows

I'm having all the windows replaced in our 99 BF. it's a glass co that's done RV's before. Do they ever leak after replacing them? There are no leaks now, and don't want to have any problems. Is there anything they do to seal when putting them back in? Thanks~

Thanks, good idea Al & Sharon. I'll try it, because it does need soaking. I finally got the musty smell out of the BF after Febreeze & Lysol over & over!!!
And why the glass shelf?? Not the best choice. Plexiglass would be nice.

GLASS FRIDGE SHELF

Our 1999 Born Free has a glass shelf at the bottom of the Norcold fridge, the drawers go in underneath. Is that an original item? I tried sliding it out but it won't budge & I'm afraid it will break. It's got crumbs or something in the tracks and has to go. Any ideas how to slide it out? It's re...

Thanks everybody! We love it, we had Scamp trailers & a Casita that reminds us of the Born Free....the fiberglass exterior & the walls. It did need the new ball joints in front and they checked the brakes during the inspection and they are ok. It's got 59,000 on it so hoping we get a lot mor...

New to us Born Free 24 RSB

Finally sold our trailer & found a 1999 BF with 59,000 miles on it. It's in good condition now, it needed ball joints & had a rear axle seal leak. We put 6 new Michelin LTX MS tires on it. It has an interesting bathroom with a glass shower door the original owner put on..he apparently added ...

Just an update, I haven't been able to talk to the dealer due to my hours so I sent an email with a few questions on engine, transmission, brakes and if the service records are available & no reply from him. It's still on their website & still listed for $25,000. I'm going back in a week whe...

Thanks for all the replies. I may wait a few weeks & see if he doesn't sell it he might come down on the price. It sure looks like new inside, no wear or stains on the sofa or chairs. But seems high. I'll try to get the VIN, too.

Looking at 1996 Born Free Rear Bath

I just found a 96 for sale at a local dealer, claims owners flew in once a year for 3 months & drove around the US then would store it. The mileage is good, 76,000 & inside is clean. The outside is good on the fiberglass but decals are fading. New tires & batteries, plus solar system &am...
