Use floor wax on tires

Instead of a tire cover I used floor wax on my spare and added a wheel cover. Searched online and found that antique and restored vehicle owners use the same for tires on their cars and trucks. Anyone find a factual reason not to do so?

Mardi Gras

If you are traveling through Mobile on either I-10 or I-65 consider stopping to experience Mardi Gras. Parades downtown will be numerous tomorrow and Tuesday with fun floats, parading societies and marching bands. Lots of beads and moon pies thrown from the floats. Mobile was the first city in the n...

Re: Replacement Generator and battery shroud needed

Born Free built their motorhomes and did not attach the fiberglass exterior to the interior wood sidewall. Soon after I bought my BF I noticed a waviness on the left side. I called Kim, and I think I am recalling correctly, he said the idea was to let the fiberglass “float”. I can’t recall why. I’ll...

Re: Replacement Generator and battery shroud needed

Back in 2013 I ran off the road in far North Canada and ripped off both the generator door, battery compartment door and the surrounding fiberglass.. I assumed that the only place I could have the damage repaired was at the BF facility in Iowa because they were the only place that would have the fib...

Re: Water pressure problem

This thread is rather strange. No additional posts in the last five years and then this one appears informing us that the product mentioned is a good one. ????????

Double pane windows

All the double pane windows on my BF have failed and leaked air. I plan to get a couple of repair/replace estimates, but would also like to learn if anyone reading this has had this done, the cost, and how it was done. Did you take the vehicle in for repair/replace or remove the windows and only tak...

Now going around on the Internet

THIS IS NOT ME. MY DAUGHTER TEXTED IT TO ME. I have been banned from Tractor Supply. Yesterday I was at my local TSC store buying a large bag of dog food for my loyal dogs, and I was in the check out, when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog? What the heck did she think I had an ELEPHANT !??! So ...

Re: advice on sale

My experience with Craigslist was terrible. I listed a car for sale and all I got were scammers or lowball offers. One offered to buy my car at my asking price site unseen if I provided my banking info. He had a convincing story to string me along. I guess there are some people he can fool in spite ...

Hood Ornament

For fun. Cheap Chinese product not made to bolt on. Stickum on bottom that I could not trust so I used JB Weld. Hope if it flies off at 65 on a bumpy road it doesn’t break my windshield or cause some other problem!!!

Insulation for shower

On my BF the shower plumbing is in an exterior wall. I took one of those styrofoam winter faucet protectors and cut it to fit over the shower inlet. Just one more step in insulation.
