Re: Generator questions
I have my generator serviced at my chosen RV service garage. They are an independent large truck and RV service garage. They are familiar with all brands of generators. You might do some internet research for local RV service providers, check their reviews, and call to see if they have experience wi...

Born Free Sighting - White Sands National Monument
Saw a newer BF entering the Monument today as we were leaving in our Jeep. Our BF was parked in town at the KOA.
Looked like a 24 or 26 Ford E450 and I think it was towing a Honda CRV.
It is always a pleasure seeing another family member in the wild.

Re: Front License Plate Frame
It may be held on with plastic rivets. You can drill out the center and they should pull out.
Good luck,
Jeff

Re: Another rear camera install
Russ, I made good progress on my camera install today. I'm way over your 2 hours but I'll get it done. I have the camera mounted and the cable run inside the coach up to the couch. I'll drill and run the rest of the way tomorrow. Do you have any tips on removing the existing rear view mirror. I know...

Re: Another rear camera install
Russ, Your posting is very timely for me. I will be doing this install on Monday after picking up my 26RB from service. I have received a lot of good info from Chuck having read about his install. My question for you is getting the camera wire from behind the shower to the cabinet under the stove an...

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
Time for a quick update. I installed the Progressive Dynamics PD4655 last Sunday. A big thank you to Bill Hemme and Bruce & Teresa Hinde for the postings in the Modifications section of the forum. It made the upgrade very much a DIY project. I just took my time and went step by step. Kim at the ...

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
For monitoring my battery status I use a combination digital volt/amp meter that displays battery voltage and charge/discharge current that I purchased on eBay: link: Combo volt/amp meter http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/T1MAAOxyjNlR1Jud/s-l500.jpg Here's another meter with more features: link: Amp/Am...

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
Picked up my pair of Trojan 125s on Saturday. Man those babies are heavy. Luckily my vendor gave me the strap that they temporarily use to move the batteries around. They fit my existing tray ok but when I pulled the tray out to clean it up and repaint it, it was heavily corroded. I ordered a new tr...

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
One more question for Mr. Hemme. Is the wiring in my 2004 26RB up to the additional load of the 55 Amp 3-stage charger over the 45 Amp original charger?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
Bill,
Thank you for your input. I have been looking at your pictures in other threads all night. Do you know the model number for your specific EZ-Glide tray?

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
Thanks to everyone for the great input so far. I ordered two Trojan 6V T-125 from the Golf Car vendor that we do work for so I think I'm getting a pretty good deal. I will be ordering the Progressive Dynamics 3-stage charger as recommended by Bill. Hopefully with his technical article and the instru...

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
Bill, I really appreciate your input. I've been looking at the Progressive Dynamics 3-stage charger based on your recommendation. I'm pretty confident I can install it myself. I have also looked at the SRM-29s and a couple of other lead acid deep cycle batteries. Please correct me if I'm wrong but w...

Re: House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
I have no advise but we have a 26' RB as well. How are you liking it? Jo We have only done the 3.5 day trip back to Texas. We loved the coach for our trip back. I have been buried at work so my preps and upgrades are taking longer than anticipated so we haven't had the opportunity for another trip....

House Batteries - 6V vs 12V
We purchased our 2004 26RB in March and enjoyed our trip back from PA to TX. One of the last upgrades I have planned are the house batteries. I've searched and read everything I can find on this wonderful forum but I'm still confused on a few things. I was thinking that a couple of AGMs would be the...
