We must be the odd couple. When traveling from PA to FL on I-95 it is rare if we don't see a Bornfree. During the winter we see at least 1 BF a week passing our house on FL 301. This August we even saw a BF while traveling in the Adirondaks!!

RE cab over window: My 2005RBRE had a window which was classified as a marine window. Neither my 2005 or 2000 RBRE ever had a leeking problem. Due to the redesign in 2008 I was unable to have a window in the cab over.

We had the 6.0 on our 2005 BF RBRE. After 5 EGR valves and 4 turbos, we gave up and replaced it with a 2008 BF. The programming for the e450 was a substatially detuned version of the F series truck. The explanation Ford gave us was that it an RV that sat for substantial periods of time with out use....

Where did you have them installed and if I may ask, what was the cost of labor and what was the cost of the RS. I have had estimates for labor ranging from 3.5 hours to 12 with a cost for the RS ranging from 750 to 895. PA was typically more costly than FL. Thanks for your post.

Thanks for the update. The run across I-80 to PA is clearly some of the worst highway in the US. Although I already have Parabolic springs/bilstein shocks, your positive comments on the mor-ryde system will result in me heading to Mor-ryde from PA next month.

MorRyde revised rubber spring RS-1

MorRyde has revised their rubber spring. The MorRyde rep at the tampa show felt confident that their new design would be more compatible with the BF motorhome chassis. Has anyone installed the new unit; and if so, did it make a difference??

For what it is worth...Although the newer cars may be designed for the ethanol fuels, older vehichles are not...MFRs tech service bulletins and owners manuals address the issue. Like John I have gone to the startron product for all of my gas engines, cars, trucks, mc, atvs and all small gas engines....

Sam you missed the point that 6.0 diesels in a E series chassis are detuned, not the 7.3 in an E series chassis.

ford uses the same tranny for both v10 and diesel after I believe 2006. With proper maintenance(severe duty) the gas engine should be good for over 200k. We have had both gas and diesel BFs. with the exception of the 7.3 diesel the $ upgrade is not worth the difference. Keep in mind when ford made t...

We use the Midwest crates with side/end entry. The seat is easily removed from the base using the lever that swings out 90 degrees. You might want to use a piece of plwood equal to the size of the crate's bottom to cover the base plate of the chair that is anchored to the BF floor. The plywood can a...

There is a ford TSB that tells the mechanic how to torque the wheels on vehicles with disc brakes. I experianced a similar problem to yours shortly after I had a brake job om my F350.
