Wanting a place to set a couple of glasses with a snack without the pull up table in the way we finally devised a small table top that works fine for us. Not having the equipment or the expertise to make a top that looked like it belonged with the rest of the original pull up table I went to the experts at Born Free who did a great job of creating just what we wanted via my faxed drawings. Although the shape of the top can be changed we did discover that this shape was necessary to allow full rotation of the two captains chairs and still allow enough space for cups, snacks or whatever.

Inserting the top is just a matter of sliding the back piece down between the original top and the housing it sits in. The thickness of the section that slides down to hold the additional top may vary in different coaches. A bonus is that when in place the top also keeps the original table top rattle free on the road. Our top measures 20" in width, 8 7/8" at the deepest point in width with the down piece being 19 3/4 x 3 1/2 x 1/2

Note: The dowel in one of the pictures is only to hold the top up while taking the picture, however, depending on the actual configuration of different base designs used by Born Free, one could be used for extra support if needed. The black strips are the soft side of self stick velcro and are only used to prevent scratches on the original top and any woodwork that the additional top comes in contact with.
