Tampa RV SuperShow Rally (January 14-19, 2014)

It was a cold and rainy night (well maybe that’s a different story) when the group of ten coaches gathered to caravan into the Florida RV SuperShow.

Once on site, with the tent our hosts had erected for our comfort, we settled into an enjoyable, entertaining, and educational venue. The roast pork by Chef Eric and the pot luck dinner were delicious on Tuesday night.

Wednesday evening a Lasagna dinner prepared by the Sandstroms and sponsored by Born Free was served. Joining the group for dinner from Born Free were Ed Newman, Brandon and Julie Dodgen, and Scott Cran. Carl Harr from Liquid Spring, LLC also joined us. We were briefed on liquid springs and other exciting new things from Born Free to keep the brand running ahead of the competition.

The Thursday outing to the Florida aquarium followed by a delicious Thai lunch and then a boat ride on Tampa bay to see the dolphins was a highlight and a break from RV festivities. The dolphins did not make an appearance, demonstrating that they are truly a smart creature. The boat ride was pleasant with protection from the elements if desired and an informative narration by a guide during the ride.

Entertainment provided in the evenings by FRVTA was first class. Don’t EVER miss “The Rivoli Revue” with Ron and Kay if you have the opportunity. It will make you a flag waving American if you are not one already. Entertainment on other nights was equally inspiring.

The Tampa RV show has something for everyone, whatever your budget.

Many thanks to Eric and Sue Sandstrom for the excellent planning and execution of this rally that made it such a pleasant memory for all who attended.
