If traveling on I-70 and looking for a great overnight or longer stop, we highly recommend Sundermeier's on the west bank of the Missouri River. They have a wealth of information at their website, including local happenings, and online reservation capability.

We stayed at this resort in Nov 2006 for a family reunion for our relatives in the St Louis area. We rented two pull-through sites, one for our Born Free with car hauler trailer, and one for our cousin's travel trailer, plus a nice cabin for our Aunt and other cousin to stay in. All the family really enjoyed the setting and our time together.

Everything about this place is top quality, including on on-premises steak house (Beef Eaters) that offers mouth-watering fare, and where we could host the family for dinner without having to travel. A full menu, including catering options, is located at their website. Nearby antique and boutique shopping was very popular with the ladies in our group.

Some of the details, which you will also find at the website, are:
- 106 level concrete pads
- 39 pull thrus sites, 60-ft or longer
- true 30/50 amp electric service
- 2 instant phone & internet hookups at each site
- expanded cable TV and
- cottages.

Rates are $50-$55 per night, $300 per week, and are discounted 10% for FMCA and Good Sam members.

This is also our favorite place to stay in the St. Louis area, which we travel through a couple of times a year. There is also a great walking path behind the park and along the river for dog walking. Very clean place with nice owners. We will go out of our way a bit to stay here when in the area.
