Good shops in the Austin area

Post by TomP »

My personal experiences only.

Bartley's in Pflugerville:
Old school shop. These mechanics are the the real deal.
I had some steering issues and the muffler worked on. Solid work. Reasonable prices.
They don't do much internal or coach work except maybe gensets.

RV Outlet Mall in Georgetown:
They don't do much drivetrain work and they are OK on the rest.
They 'fixed' a leak that later (6months) started releaking. Not sure if it was the same leak but I hardly used/drove the RV during those 6 months.
Decent and inexpensive work on my main awning.

Crestview RV in Georgetown:
Hit and miss. Their work is good but I thought they were a little pricey.
They outsource/callout certain jobs such as GenSet repair to a shop 40 miles away.
They can be very slow.
However, one time they did some major front end suspension work for me and I was very pleased with the results.

Crestview RV in Buda:
I had a pop-up worked on a while back. Quality work. Reasonably priced.

Eagle Transmission in Pflugerville:
honest guys. reasonable prices.

Fleet Maintenance in Austin on 7th st.:
Great work. Good prices. Not sure if they do interior work though.

Camper Clinic in Buda:
Decent. They did some minor repair and maintenance work on my rig. A bit far away for me but I was always happy with their service.
