Refrigerator odor solution

I have a client that had chicken and fish that sat in a refrigerator for weeks without electric. The solution to the odor is to put a plate of fresh coffee grounds in the freezer and in the food compartment. Turn on the refrigerator and leave the coffee grounds in the refrigerator for 1 - 2 weeks and the odor will be gone forever. I know this works because I got the refrigerator after it was thrown away.
