OK, we were going to Oregon, BUT started TOO late

Post by BornFree_n_Now »

OK, we were going to Oregon, BUT started TOO late, can anyone recommend an AZ property to stay at?

Seriously, we were planning on staying out for another several weeks, but the Oregon Coast seems a bit too wet at present ~~ Quartzsite came to mind, but have never been ~~ good or bad this time of year? If good, can we find room at the inn? Any input appreciated, as we are trying to stay in front of the next storm. Currently in Idaho, and looking for good weather and pretty surroundings ~~

Hi -- Quartsite is OK this time of year -- January is the big time there-- there is both regular RV parks and dry camping --it won't be as crowded now as in January -- Bob in Indio

We live in Washington and really love to drive south this time of year along the Oregon coast and through the redwood forests of Northern California. Maybe you will catch a storm and see some real action along the rocky shore. Nothing beats standing in a grove of redwoods and just enjoying the beauty. This may not sound too inviting, but it really is fun. A good place to start is at Fort Clatsop on the WA-Or border and the historical place where Lewis and Clark spent their winter. It recently burned to the ground, but is being rebuilt.
