furnace thermostat problem...help

Post by Jim & Denise Wilson »

Today we were getting our motorhome ready for a trip and the thermostat was acting up. I could get it to work by pressing a few buttons, then it would turn off. Now it won't even light up. We took the cover off and looked at it (about like a pig looking at a watch), unplugged it, plugged it back in. We have checked the fuses and electrical wires. Any ideas? It is the 5 button Duo-therm digital model about 18 months old. I'm afraid that Dometic/Duo-therm and Born Free will be shut down for the holidays but I will try them tomorrow as well. My husband it advocating ordering a new one in the am. But I know from mostly lurking that this is a resourceful group.

Thanks,
Denise

Are you sure the coach batteries are not low. There may be a cut off in the unit if it does not sense enough voltage.
