Any suggestions for campsites near Cascade or McCall, Idaho?

We are planning a trip to Boise, ID and areas near there. Does anyone have experiences to share on this area? We like the mountains and good scenery, but feel like there are probably other good sites besides State Parks that might even be more reasonable.

Has anyone ever stayed at Celebration Park at Melba, ID? What was your experience?

Thanks for your suggestions.

It is a State Park, but, Ponderosa State Park in McCall is right on the lake, and has nice amenities - close to town (but not too close), and lots of pretty things to see in the area.
The lakes around Stanley, specifically Redfish Lake, is also a great place to camp. Wonderful scenery, hiking and day trips. Those campgrounds are Forest Service - no hookups, but nicely laid out.

A way up North, but absolutely beautiful!

Sandpoint (North of Cour de'Alene) sits on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille (pronounced Pond Dough Ray). There are ample dry camping areas, the lake is something else and the people, mountains, rivers and roads are endlessly fascinating. Following the Clark river from there down to Missoula gives one a good perspective of what Lewis and Clark faced.
Will definitely go back again!

On Hwy 95, near Lucile, there is a very pretty little park on the Salmon River: Riverfront Gardens RV Park. When we were there they had no sewer dump but there is one just a few miles up the road. I think they have water and electric, though.
