E450 specific error codes

Is there any way to determine error codes on the E450 (Born Free)
chassis, other than a Ford dealer ? Tnx for any replies

Hi Cande...I have an "abs" err & assumed it wud post an err code.
I have noticed other posts with an abs err code that posted an err code.
So I dont know how to find the err code without going to the Ford dealer,
& let him put the computer on the rig. (Charge) Thanks

In my area ( Kansas City) there are some auto parts stores that will check the maintenance codes for free or a nominal charge of one dollar. They are not able to read all of the "propritary codes" that Ford keeps secret for only their dealers but they have been able to read the basic ones -- like "check engine" light and reset them. You might check with AutoZone, NAPA, or O'Reilly, if they are in your area, or others to ask if they have that service. A lot cheaper and quicker than the Ford shop. ~Willie~
