Post by ddpjep »

Date - Sept 2-5, 2014
- 3 nights (9/2-9/4) at La Pine State Park, near La Pine, OR
- 1 night (9/5) - boon dock near Silver Lake, OR
Agenda - Nearby attractions include Deschutes River, the High Desert Museum, Lava River Cave, Newberry Caldera, Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway and the city of Bend. You are on your own for these attractions. Scheduled trip will take place on Sept 5. This will include driving the Outback Scenic Byway to the community of Fort Rock, Fort Rock State Park and Silver Lake. Transportation by tour guide is required to view Fort Rock Cave. Reservations required. The day will be ended at the unique Cowboy Dinner Tree Restaurant. $27/per + 18% gratuity for groups. The meals are very large (whole chicken or a 26-30 oz steak) with no sharing of meals allowed so we will have lots of goodies to fill our rigs.
No credit/debit cards.
In lieu of dinners in the campground this group has an appetizer get together at 4 pm daily. It is suggested but not required that each coach provide a daily appetizer and their own refreshment. We gather to enjoy getting to know each other and learn about the neighboring territory. We hope that you will join us!
You must make your own reservations at La Pine State Park Campground:

The above announcement has been posted to inform Born Free owners who may be in the Northwest Region. It is not posted in the rallies section of the web site because some of the Born Free owners attending choose to not belong to the Born Free Leap'n Lions RV Club. Because of that it is a non-sanctioned event.
