Virginia City, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite - tips and tricks?

We visited that area in May on our first trip to the southwest. My wife writes a detailed blog with photos when we travel which might help in planning your trip. We stayed a week in the Yosemite area, 3 days in Lake Tahoe and drove to Virginia City on our way back east. You can read the blog at
