We are laying our new LVT planks today,. While the toilet was out I cleaned it inside and out (I don't think the prior owners ever did it, might I say ICK) I washed our BF door mats and soon we will be sitting in it with a beer admiring the workmanship my hubby did on the floor. Thank you honey, it looks fantastic

I am doing nothing, but I am thinking about doing something but probably will not. But if I change my mind again and do something I will keep it a secret. Or I may write about it on another thread, but not on this one.

I am trying to figure out when I will have time to clean my roof and seal the fan. It is high on the RV list but low on the Honey do list.

I am busy redoing my living room / dinning room and when I finally had a break for a beer on Sunday afternoon I heard a drip drip drip in my garage. My wifes bathroom is leaking I guess the roof will be pushed back another weekend.

This week is cleanup and de-winterize time. Full inside detail, outside wash and another 3 coats of Zep floor polish.

I just received some replacement hinges and latches from the factory to replace some broken ones. We bought our 97 24RB in February and I have been taking care of various minor fixes. We finally tried it out last weekend taking it to Arcadia National Park. Waiting for replacement parts for the awning also and will probably install them this weekend.

How difficult was it to remove and re-install the captain's chairs? And to rip up the old carpet and vinyl?

I looked up Rover's coordinates on the Marine Traffic website. She is surrounded by water somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean. Rover is headed home.

Wish we could. No one is allowed into the port without an official escort and then only one of us can go. And we can't pick her up until 2 full working days after she arrives.

Yesterday I installed the awning parts I mentioned in my prior post. The prior owner told me when I bought the coach that the awning had some broken parts. When I extended the awning (A Dometic 9000 series) the first time I discovered the ears of both telescoping rafter sliders were broken off. I replaced the sliders with new ones from Amazon. On further inspection, I discovered lift handle on the forward main support arm was missing the locking pin and needed replacement. I also found the upper end of both rafters were hanging by just one hinge rivet hole. The hole on the forward side if each rafter had been ripped out. I also noticed the end shafts on both ends of the spring loaded roller tube were bent, not a lot, but enough to be noticeable. It appears that the whole awning was bent to the rear of the coach while extended. I was able to cut the upper end of the rafter arms off below the original holes. I re-notched and re-drilled the ends and got them properly re-attached. They are now about an inch shorter than original but still have about 3 inches of overlap when fully extended. The most difficult part was peening over the ends of the hollow end rivet as I don't have the tool. Attaching the sliders was relatively easy (on the work bench). I drove the point of a Phillips Screwdriver into the hollow end of the rivet to get it to flare open and then finished peening it with a ball peen hammer. The upper rafter end rivets were more problematic as they had to be done in place on the coach from a step ladder. I ended up using a C clamp to push a small ball bearing into the hollow end to start the flare and then used just the C clamp to flange it over. After I got everything back together and tested it, it seems to work ok - the bent roller shafts don't appear to bother. I was able to find a new lift handle at a nearby RV dealer (well about 20 miles away - nothing is really "near-by" in rural Maine) which I will install this morning after a trip to Home Depot for the right size pop rivets. It appears I won't have to replace the awning, which was my fear, so I'm a happy camper.

I installed peel and stick Smart Tiles as a backsplash in the kitchen! I uploaded a picture with the "upload attachment" feature, but I don't know if it will magically appear in the post!

Two steps: 1) Browse to the file on your computer/mobile device. 2) Add the file.

You must "Add" the file.

Please let us know how the sticky back is?

I did all that, but trying again I've now noticed the message that my file was too big. So here I go again!

It was easy to do. Not as forgiving as Eternabond, you can easily peel out and reposition until you really press it down. Even then it says just to use a hair dryer if you need to remove it.

Speaking of Eternabond tape, I used it around my cabover window to finally solve one and for all (I think), the leak which occurred, was "fixed" when I redid the silicone caulk. It was good for about 9 months, and then re-occurred. If anyone would like to see a picture of the Eternabond cabover fix, I'll upload one - I think it actually looks better than the black plastic frame around the window, which was faded with time. I also put it around the Fantastic Fan.

I'll let you know if the Smart Tiles start to come unstuck.
