Suggestions for radio and RV camera?

Post by Brent »

I'm planning to install a couple of good quality items - a radio and rear view camera.

Any suggestions as to brands or models?

Brent,

If you use the Search function on this forum, you should find many past discussions and recommendations.

Thank you for the suggestions. I'll use them.

In the old posts I've searched it seems the general information is good but the models and features have changed - so I'm just trying to be thorough and avoid a mistake in my selection.

Brent, I can't help you with the radio, but this year I installed a Yada wireless backup camera. The camera is mounted to rear ladder allowing easy connection to rear lights. I have it set up to only come on when the transmission is in reverse gear. The camera can also be connected to 12V power source for continuous operation. I have not yet permanently mounted the screen in the drivers cab, can't decide on the the optimum location. Overall, it was an easy installation and so far no problems with the wireless signal reaching the front cab.

I like the idea. I hadn't considered a mount on the ladder (it might be less invasive). I was thinking a mount up next to one of the top running lights in the rear. I'll look at the Yada camera. Thank you
