Here in Mobile the original Mardi Gras is in full swing. There are parades downtown every night until Ash Wednesday. If you are passing through consider stopping.
Looking for good seafood? On the causeway that crosses Mobile Bay there are several great choices for lunch or dinner. Felix’s is a good choice. It looks dumpy by design so don’t let that scare you away. Another is the Bluegill. There you can sit and have your photo made in the booth that Elvis used when he performed in Mobile early in his career. The east bound I -10 tunnel backs up almost every Friday afternoon starting around 4 pm. Try to avoid it.
