Help finding a replacement entry door

Post by adc240483 »

I have a 2002 Born Free 24' Casual Elegance. I was on the way home from Saint Louis when a semi truck ran me into a guard rail. The long and the short of it is my entry door was damaged. As of yet, we cannot find a replacement door. Would anyone on this forum know where I can find a replacement door and/or who manufactured the entry doors for Born Free. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

There are only a couple of RV door companies. I'd guess that an '02 probably used a Hehr door.

I believe that later model Born Frees used Dexter doors

or they may have used use Lippert doors...

Hopefully one of those will get you in the ballpark. Someone else may be able to give you exact replacement info.

I have the same model year as your coach except it is a 2002 BF 26' RSB model and I would assume that your coach has the same door as mine. Mine has a Phillips door but this company went out of business back in year 2009. A company called Lippert Components acquired the remaining inventory of Phillips doors. Whether they are still producing that same line of doors I don't know. You will need to research this yourself at the Lippert Components website by clicking on the following link: https://www.lci1.com/lci-entry-doors same as that posted by Roger H above.

Some images from their website are copied below. The middle image is for their RV door production factory in Alabama. If they still make the same door, it appears it would have to be ordered from one of their dealers.
