Outside Shower Faucet not working.

Post by Bill Erhardt »

Howdy gang from Bill Erhardt in Helena, Mt.

When I did my RV antifreeze this week, I noticed the outside faucet water control valve was stuck. I could not get a strong flow of water but there was just enough pressure to get antifreeze out of the the hand held faucet.

Is there a model for this faucet controller so I can replace or fix ??

I do not have any of the literature for this part of the 26RSB 2005 Born Free.

Thanks for any help !!

Cheers Bill Erhardt

Bill,

I have the same model year of coach and I checked my owner's manual. Unfortunately, this is no information in the manual for that faucet controller.

A suggestion: If you remove the kitchen drawers, you can see the rear of the city water connection and this faucet controller. Maybe you can retrieve some information from the back of the faucet.

Howdy to the Born Free Gang,

Hmmmm I feel rather meek at this time !!!!!

I took Elsa out of storage and checked her all out, cleared the water lines, and replaced a couple of latches. Well, I pulled out the drawers under the stove/sink to follow all the water lines and check for any leaks. OMG there are two valves behind the drawers for the outside shower and they were off !!!!! My bad !!!

Needless to say, I cleaned the outside shower head, replaced the rubber washer and it works fine...

Next time I have a question I will look a little more before asking !!!

Laugh is on me !!!

Bill don't feel bad, I've done some similar things in the past.

As an FYI - this year after winter my outside shower broken off the hose. I was happy to find I could replace the hose for about $20 with a longer and nicer hose. The downside is the nut for the new hose was a little bigger to fit in the mount. So I removed the mount and use a 3M boom holder. Here are a few images. Hope it might help someone.

New hose nut too wide for mount

New hose just screws on both end - it is more flexible in cold weather. Here is the final product with the 3M mount.
