Water in Rear Tail Lights?

Post by KevinVT »

Hey folks,

I noticed this on my 2001 24RB and I am seeing it on our 2003 24RB. Water collects in the tail lights. Anyone else had this problem? Did anyone fix it. I should mentioned I have been watching this for over a year now, it has not impacted the lights. I know it means the seal must be leaking. I am pretty sure these lights are from a Ford Excursion, and I can replace them if I wanted, but just wondering if others have had this issue. I had considered drilling a drain hole at the low point in the corner, but I am not sure if that is a brilliant idea... or a stupid one :-)

I drilled a small hole at the lowest point on the tail lights on my 2001 RSB. Seems to have solved the problem. Long term I may have problems but nothing yet after 3 or4 years.
