Leak??

Post by Brent »

Need some help please. I’m seeing moisture “weeping” at this location. Around the rectangular plastic piece. Only when the plumbing is under Pressure for a period of time. Any ideas? What is the rectangular piece?

That's a steel plate with bolts that go through the subfloor. You obviously have a plumbing leak. Make sure all your fittings are tight. Sometimes it's difficult to find where the water is coming from. Water can travel along pipes or tubing for quite some distance.

Thank you. I’ll keep looking. I’ve just installed the access port but I’d noticed the leak prior so I don’t think it’s the plate. I do need to seal the plate better - silicon doesn’t adhere to poly too well.
