Convert Bulkhead Storage to Bed in 98’ Built For Two!

Can this be done? We are new owners that need a large bed up top for us, leaving the Jacknife bed for the grand kids. There is a small amount of equipment and wiring in the current cabinetry that would have to be dealt with, of course, but it is a struggle anyway for the two of us to sleep in the factory bed. We are in Mariposa Ca., but are frequently in the SF Bay area as well. Any thoughts about that, or recommendations on someone to do a quality conversion? Thanks for any advice.

We had ours converted locally. They hid all wiring and added a wood piece that folds over, so you can still access the cab from inside without hitting your head. You can have RV mattresses custom-made to fit and fold over and RV bunk ladders sold separately....(quick internet search). We're in So Or, so not too far from you. The place we had it done has been sold to Gander RV, a nationwide co. Hope you find someone to do it. It was a good decision since we needed more sleeping space. Good luck!
