85 Octane g

Post by thkurtz »

We are on the road from Fl to Alaska and have been experiencing some high gas prices. Regular in Colorado is 85 octane. Can we safely use that octane in our 26 foot E-450?
PS has anyone received that e-mail from the RV consumer group concerning formaldehyde levels in RV's. I would assume that Born Free does not use cheap particle board in their manufacturing process.

See the discussion from a while ago at:

The consensus seems to be either follow the manufacturer's guidelines in the owner manual, or forget about it because today's electronic ignition adjusts for it.
