It is fun reading George, thank you. Also thank you for the post on the moth balls to keep out critters.

Your post of your travels indicate you are (or maybe were) a real estate appraiser? Me too, althought it is all review work for a bank now.

George;

Good reading. How much will those outlet covers affect your gas mileage?

On another note, how come the date and time of the last post doesn't change when George adds to his travels? The last post date and time shows 5/13, but he has updated it twice since the according to the log. How would one know that it has been updated?

John

John O'Brien,

The reason the posting date on the periodic submissions to George Boley's 2008 Edition of Driving Miss Daisy travelog does not change from the original date is that each chapter is added via the Edit function as I receive them from George. That results in the original posting date being unchanged. The only way to change this would be to post each new chapter as a new topic which would then reflect the date of posting of that chapter. But I think adding each new chapter into the original posting via the Edit function keeps the ongoing travelog together as one topic is the best way to do it in my opinion rather than having each new chapter posted as a new topic.

I hope this is the appropriate place to as a question of George. Did you have any difficulty getting your fully loaded motorhome through customs into Canada?

David & Susan,
Sailed right through We have crossed many times, only once did we get searched in detail. That was right after we registered our coach in Florida.
Just never lie, no guns or mace and no Canadian beef coming back. Safe travels. George

It's been 13 days since your last post. Are you still in Camp Walmart or maybe they put you to work there :lol:

Hope all is well, and you have some exciting news for us.

John

George, thank you so much for sharing your travels with us. I printed your 2006 stories and took them with us on our last vacation. Whoever was the passenger read from it as we went down the road. Sure made the time go faster. I am compiling all of your 2008 entries and will print those for our next outing. Thanks again!

George : I just looked in the last Radio Shack flyer and they had a hand held Wifi finder for $9.99.

The unit which I purchased at Radio Shack this afternoon detects the wifi signal from my router that is down stairs in the dungeon. It probably will not tell if the signal is password protected. The product is Radio Shack branded, so I have no information about similar products elsewhere.
