Questions on towing with a Built for Two

Post by daryl&mary »

Considering a toad (Honda Fit) for our Built for Two. Due to the rear door, I have a couple of questions unique to the BFT.

(1) Does the hitch/tow bar interfere with the step (rear door)?

(2) How much of a hassle is it to use the rear door when the tow bar is in use?

(3) How much of a hassle is it to use the rear door when the tow bar is stored on the BFT?

Thanks,

Did it for years. It is there, so you have to step around it accordingly. Didn't ever feel that it was undoable. I put no slip tape on the top surface of the hitch so you could step on it if need be without slipping off. I also used a 4" drop hitch which moved the toad back a bit.
