Help troubleshooting Coach electrical problem

Post by bbwolf »

I usually bother Kim (customer support) with these issues.

Can anyone provide guidance on trouble shooting an electrical issue for me?
Problem, Bathroom light keeps blowing fuses. It is a 3am fuse. I replace the fuse, the bathroom overhead light works. Soon, it blows the 3amp fuse. I replace the fuse, and repeat.

This is not the shower lights which are working fine.

How can I determine what is causing this problem? All other coach lights and systems are working fine, so it is definitely isolated to this single set of overhead lights.

Sounds like a short in that circuit. Visually inspect the lights and wiring, then go for continuity testing.

"thestoloffs" Thank you. I am not sure how to gain access to the screws that hold the light in the ceiling. I must have to "pop" a retainer ring off. I will get brave with a screw driver and try to pry on it.

It is a set of two ceiling lights. I'm not really sure what type they are.

Defective fuses for once.
Last summer I had a bunch of blue colored fuses (Auto Zone, Walmart) that kept burning well bellow their rating.

Use for test 15-20 amps fuse and try to measure the current.

May be, it is the time to replace the tubs or the entire fixture.
