Biltmore Estate Ashville, NC.

Post by Dave Rotelle »

My wife and I recently returned from a wonderful trip to Ashville NC. My great grandfather came to the United States from Scotland in 1895 to work as a gardener at the Biltmore Estate.
He grew up in a one room farmhouse on a farm in Scotland and was one of 19 children. He and two of his siblings were the only three of 19 to leave Scotland.
It was a real blessing to walk through the beautiful gardens at Biltmore where my great grandfather once worked. They still have the records at Biltmore from when he worked there.
We stayed at a very nice Campground with an incredible view. I've enclosed a few pictures, it was one of our favorite trips in our Born Free.
