Anyone removed the carpet and installed laminate flooring?

For a couple of months I have been contemplating this. I have a 24RB and seem to be constantly vacuming up outside dirt. I have laminate floors that float on a pad in most of my house and really like them.

Rob, I am considering the same thing. With 2 longhaired dogs, I vacuum twice a day and it is still never clean. Can a local flooring company do this in the BF or is it a return to the mother ship item? We sure aren't handy enough to do it ourselves.
