Tom,

You are evidently referring to the Ford E350 chassis which comes with a standard 37 gallon fuel tank, not 35 gallon. Maybe back on 1995 E350 models the tank size was only 35 gallons - don't know that for sure. I do know that the Ford E450 chassis came standard with a 55 gallon fuel tank and that is what I have. I have about a 450 mile range with my coach.

If you are considering installing a 55 gallon tank from a E450 chassis, that larger tank size may or may not fit in a E350 chassis. I am sure the frame construction on a E350 is different than a E450 because the E350 had a gross weight rating of 11,500 lbs whereas the E450 had a gross weight rating of 14,050 lbs (increased to 14,500 lbs in the later models). The difference between the two frames may not allow the 55 gallon tank to fit in a E350.

That being said, I like the extra range that the 55 gallon tank gives me. On long trips it means I generally have to refill only once a day rather than twice if I had only a 37 gallon tank.

larger gas tank

I also have a 1995 BF E350. I was trying to get a larger gas tank. But does not work. That is the only draw back on my coach. I keep a log whenever I fill up. Note the mileage, gallons of gas and of course the dollar amount donated.

AT 250 miles I start looking for gas.

Look at the Transfer Flow website. I installed an after market tank (50 gal) on a pickup truck in about a day just having the vehicle up on ramps. It worked very well and used the same sender unit.
