Heater problem on 2004 BFT

Dry camping at Mammoth Lakes, CA, elevation 8000', the heater would come on in the morning but would not ignite so no heat. Blower would blow cold air for 30 seconds then stop. Propane level 3/4 full, all other propane appliances working fine. Battery power 12 volts. Returned home to sea level and heater worked fine. Anyone experience this kind of problem? Had a great time fishing. Even caught an elusive Golden Trout. First one in over 35 years of trout fishing. Too nice to eat. Took a picture and released.
