Spammers galore

I have sent the following via PM to the board admin. However, seeing as the holiday weekend is upon us, I don't know what will happen today or this weekend.

We have been overcome with spammers today. I think the time has come where we must become a closed group in order to post. I know it is tough on the admins, but I think anybody who wants to post must first be OKed up front by an admin. Most Yahoo groups I belong to do this. I don't know if this board has the capability, but something like entering a Recaptcha string to prevent robo signups would be helpful.
