$1000 Lithium Battery at Costco

Post by stevek »

Looks like this may be a sign of the future of RV Batteries and the Lithium Battery.
Took this pic at my local Costco today.

At a recent RV show I was quoted a price of $2500 to replace my two 12 volt coach batteries with a single lithium battery. Benefits of the Li battery included longer life, able to discharge the battery and maintain constant voltage to a very low percent (don't recall exactly), weighs 20 pounds ( AGM batteries weigh 80 pounds each and with an overload condition already on my rear tires I can't use them) and as I recall it charges faster than a lead acid battery. If the price were more competitive with an AGM battery there is no question that I would go with the Li battery.
