Fresh Water Tank - Deteriorate?

My coach is a 1999. Is there a concern that fresh water tanks, over time, become brittle and rupture more easily?

You may see plastic deterioration if exposed to sun. Don't see any reason why the tank would deteriorate, especially since it is protected.
